Girls lacrosse: Cincinnati coach Gina Oliver (Pottstown) adds 2 Spring-Ford recruits

University of Cincinnati lacrosse coach Gina Oliver (Pottstown) has announced the addition of 14 student-athletes, including two Spring-Ford products, to her roster for the 2015 campaign. The 13 freshmen and single transfer join a roster that returns 14 players from last year’s squad.

“I’m really excited about the talent and competitiveness of the 2018 class,” Oliver said. “They’re a very diverse group of athletes who will make a huge impact on our team right away.”

The group of newcomers includes a pair of players on the attack, six midfielders, five defenders and a goalie. They also hail from seven different states (Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia).

The Spring-Ford recruits are:

Madison Dishman Defense // Royersford, Pa. (Spring-Ford)

Prior to UC: Played at Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, Pennsylvania, along with classmate Julianna Radzinski … Named to first team All-PAC-10 and first team All-Montgomery County as a senior … Earned honorable mention All-PAC-10 honors as a sophomore and junior … Played club for the PA Express and Dynamite Lacrosse … Helped club team reach a No. 19 national ranking.

Personal: Born April 8, 1996 … Daughter of Pablo and Kerri Dishman … Has one brother, Josh.

Oliver on Dishman: “Madison is someone who just makes plays. She is aggressive, smart and knows where to be on the field.”

Julianna Radzinski Midfield // Schwenksville, Pa. (Spring-Ford)

Prior to UC: Played at Spring-Ford High School, along with classmate Madison Dishman … Named PAC-10 Honorable Mention as a senior … Played club for Phantistix in Philadelphia.

Personal: Born January 16, 1996 … Daughter of Tad and Tara Radzinski … Has two brothers, Stephen and Matthew.

Oliver on Radzinski: “Rad is a solid, consistent player. She can get it done on both ends of the field and you can always count on her to make a play.”
