Blomstrom leads Perkiomen Valley by Owen J. Roberts; Spring-Ford stays perfect behind Goodrich, Marte

Perkiomen Valley 57, Owen J. Roberts 49 – Alex Blomstrom shot 12-for-12 from the free throw line en route to 19 points as the Vikings posted the PAC Liberty victory Saturday in a contest that benefitted a Schwenksville area family devastated by a recent fire.
Also hitting double figures for PV (3-1, 6-3) were Megan Jonassen with 16 points and Taylor Hamm with 10. For the Wildcats (2-2, 5-4), Olivia LeClaire netted 19 points and Diana Rantz added 15 with four three-balls.
Proceeds of the game went to the family of Bryan Lukens, a Montgomery County sheriff’s duputy whose family was devastated by a Dec. 13 fire outside of Schewenksville. The family’s two boys, 11-year-old Bryan Jr. and 6-year-old Parker, perished in the blaze while Lukens, his wife Tracy and daughter Soffia escaped.

Spring-Ford 58, Norristown 42 – The unbeaten Rams (4-0, 8-0) blew out to a 35-17 halftime lead and never looked back in registering the PAC Liberty win. Abby Goodrich netted 18 points and Cassie Marte added 9 for Spring-Ford, offsetting the 17-point outing by Beyonce Collins for the Eagles (0-4, 2-8).

Lansdale Catholic 60, Methacton 44 – The Warriors (4-7) were unable to sustain a fast start in dropping the nonleague decision.  Sydney Tornetta finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds, Olivia Pennypacker hit for 13 points and Jill Zerbe added 10 for Methacton, which was outscored 39-15 in the second half after leading by 29-21 at the break.
