Boyertown falls short in home tourney final; PJP rolls over Coatesville

DeLone Catholic 47, Boyertown 37 – Kylie Webb dropped in a game-high 18 points and Victoria Boalton added 11 but the Bears (2-6) collapsed down the stretch in suffering the championship game loss at the Bears Holiday Tournament Friday.
Leading 28-26 entering the fourth quarter, Boyertown was overtaken by a 21-7 run from DeLone, which got 15 points from Bradi Zumbrum and 14 from Brooke Lawyer to improve to 7-1 on the season.

Pope John Paul II 93, Coatesville 73 – The Golden Panthers rode a fast start, 90 per cent shooting from the free throw line (35-39) and a balanced attack to victory in the consolation game at the Boyertown Holiday Tournament.
Hitting double figures for PJP (5-3), which set the tone with a 28-9 blitz in the first quarter, were Monica Rapchinski (21 points), Lauren Ciuba (17, 10-10 at free throw line), Julia Owens (14), Kayla Mesaros (13) and Elise Sylvester (13).

Mount St. Joseph 43, Owen J. Roberts 28 – The Wildcats were doomed by poor shooting in the second half of their loss in the championship game of the Marple Newtown Tournament. Kylie Cahill and Olivia LeClaire were both named to the All-Tournament team for OJR.
 
Upper Darby 38, Phoenixville 31 – Jasmine Hamilton (9 points, 10 rebounds) and Peyton Graham (8 points, 10 rebounds) had solid outings for the Phantoms (4-4) in their nonleague setback.
