Boys cross country: Methacton outruns Pottsgrove and Pottstown behind Hopkins, Clee


WORCESTER - The Methacton boys cross country team slogged through the rain and muddy course to capture both ends of a Pioneer Athletic Conference tri-meet Wednesday.

Warriors sophomore Pat Hopkins finished first overall in 18:19, followed by teammate Ryan Clee (18:22), to set the pace for the Warriors, who edged Pottsgrove 26-31 and Pottstown 15-48. Pottsgrove, led by Ian Yanusko’s overall third (18:26), got the split with a 15-50 victory over Pottstown, which got a 13th-place finish from Nate Smith (19:21).
