Clay helps Owen J. Roberts get back on track; Pottstown secures first win

Owen J. Roberts 46, Methacton 35 – The Wildcats bounced back from their first loss of the season in convincing style, leading from start to finish in the PAC Liberty conquest of the host Warriors Saturday.
Hannah Clay knocked down five triples for 15 points while Avery White and Olivia LeClaire came through with 12 apiece for OJR, which raced out to a 28-19 halftime lead and held on down the stretch.
Sydney Tornetta dropped 12 points to pace Methacton, which also got 8 rebounds and 7 points from Sydney Hargrove and 4 points and 4 steals from Nicole Timko.

Pottstown 47, Upper Perkiomen 29 – Kiyah Cotton recorded a double-double with 13 points, 10 steals and 7 rebounds and Riley Owens added 11 boards and 9 points as the Trojans picked up their first win of the season. Leading by just 20-16 at halftime, Pottstown took charge with a 13-0 run in the third quarter.

Pottsgrove 46, Phoenixville 33 – The Falcons won their sixth game in seven starts behind a balanced scoring attack and sturdy defensive effort that resulted in a 14-2 second-quarter advantage and commanding 28-12 halftime edge.
Riley Simon and Rachel Ludwig hit for 10 points each to pace the Grove, which also got 8 points from Summer Walker. For the Phantoms, Aubrie Breisblatt and Nailah Green topped the scoring charts with 8 points apiece.

Emily Schools led all scorers with 23 points from Norristown, which fell behind 17-7 after one quarter, 35-16 at the break and 46-23 after three before mounting a late charge.
