Girls volleyball: Grand night for Ludwig, Boyertown; Perkiomen Valley blanks Norristown - updated

Boyertown 3, Spring-Ford 1 – Boyertown junior setter Emma Ludwig (below right) eclipsed the
1,000-career assist barrier with 35 assists and added 12 digs and three kills as the Bears captured the PAC match Wednesday in four sets 25-12, 21-25, 25-21 and 25-8.
Other key contributors for Boyertown (7-1 PAC, 12-2 overall) were Savannah Derstine (season-high 20 digs), Adrianna Derstine (18 kills, 6 digs), Alexa Mack (9 digs), Emily Wolfe (12 kills, 10 digs) and Julia Smith (20 digs).
 
Perkiomen Valley 3, Norristown 0 - Naomi Clauhs (4 aces, 6 kills, 1 block, 7 assists, 4 digs), Ari Boone (3 kills, 1 ace, 9 digs), Caitlin Ruth (6 kills, 1 assist, 2 digs), Anna Proto (3 digs, 1 assist) and Lilah Mau (4 digs, 4 kills) were the linchpins as the Vikings celebrated Senior Night with the 25-17, 25-9, 25-14 PAC sweep of Norristown.
PV seniors Ari Boone and Sydney Schoenewald were honored prior to the start of the match.

Roberts 3, Phoenixville 2 – The Wildcats outlasted the Phantoms in five sets 18-25, 25-12, 25-23, 23-25, 15-10 behind Bridget Kowalski (24 digs), Jordyn Chambers (26 assists, 5 digs, 4 aces), Madison Harvey (15 digs, 3 blocks, 2 aces, 2 kills), Jessica Taney (9 kills, 9 blocks), Abby Mattis (10 digs, 5 kills, 3 blocks), Hannah Lewiski (14 digs, 6 kills) and Caroline Halsey (3 kills, 2 digs). 
Leading the way for Phoenixville were Alexa Grammerstorf (12 kills, 19 digs, 3 aces), Avery Stackhouse (11 digs, 6 kills, 2 aces), Sophia Spoto (34 assists, 5 aces, 3 kills), Hayden Perrone (7 digs, 3 kills, 1 ace), Maria Coll (15 digs), Leilu Campbell (18 digs), Riley Daher (4 kills) and Courtney Gable (4 kills).
 
Methacton 3, Dock Mennonite 0 – The Warriors (10-3 overall) rolled in straight sets 25-11, 25-11, 25-9 on Dig Pink Night as Alli Hazlett unleashed 13 kills and had no hitting errors after singing the National Anthem.
