Girls volleyball: Owen J. Roberts handles Phoenixville: Pope John Paul II takes district showdown

Owen J. Roberts 3, Phoenixville 1 - Bridget Kowalski (20 digs), Jordyn Chambers (3 aces, 2 kills, 17 assists, and 1 block), Hannah Lewiski (4 aces, 4 kills, 5 digs), Chloe Goals (5 kills, 3 assists, 6 blocks, 3 digs) and Ashley Beitel (3 kills, 5 blocks) topped the stat charts as the Wildcats claimed to PAC victory 25-19, 25-17, 23-25, 25-12 Monday.
Setting the pace for the Phantoms were Alexa Grammerstorf (6 kills, 4 digs, 1 ace), Riley Daher (4 kills), LeiLu Campbell (8 digs) and Maria Coll (8 digs).
 

Pope John Paul II 3, Villa Maria Academy 0 – The Golden Panthers prevailed in straight sets – 26-24, 25-17, 27-25 – in a matchup of the top two rated teams in the District 1-3A power rankings as Sarah Ward (9 kills), Hanna Tulli (12 kills), Heather Lesinski (11 kills), Haley Spotts (3 kills, 21 digs), Tea Pasquale (10 digs) and Chelsea Harvey (35 assists, 7 digs) set the tone.

Boyertown 3, Spring-Ford 0 – The Bears ran the table 25-20, 25-19, 25-22 as Emma Ludwig (31 assists, 3 blocks, 3 kills), Emily Wolfe (11 kills, 3 aces), Adrianna Derstine (13 kills), Julia Smith (22 digs, 2 aces) and Savanna Derstine (11 digs) led the way.

Perkiomen Valley 3, Norristown 0 – The Vikings swept the PAC match in straight sets, 25-21, 25-22, 25-21 behind Isabel Clauhs (16 kills, 3 digs), Camila Leyes (14 digs) and Allie Haflett (4 kills, 2 blocks, 3 digs).
