Girls volleyball: Pope John Paul II dominates Upper Merion; Spring-Ford, Boyertown sweep

Pope John Paul II 3, Upper Merion 0 - Hanna Tulli (18 kills), Sarah Ward (6 kills), Lauren Phillips (4 kills), Tea Pasquale (20 digs), Jessie Donovan (16 digs, 4 aces) and Chelsea Harvey (35 assists, 4 aces) were the linchpins as the Golden Panthers swept the PAC showdown Wednesday in straight sets 25-12, 25-18, 25-20.
 
Spring-Ford 3, Norristown 0 – The Rams ran the table 25-20, 25-15, 25-21 behind seniors Rylee Clarke (11 kills, 8 digs, 3 aces) and Paige Rothenberger (6 kills) and juniors Clarke Gilmore (7 kills), Maddie Lebiedzinski (29 digs, 4 aces) and Anoushka Patel (15 assists).
 
Boyertown 3, Methacton 0 – Emily Wolfe (18 kills, 4 aces, 12 digs), Adrianna Derstine (9 kills, 2 blocks), Julia Smith (14 digs) and Emma Ludwig (27 assists) topped the stat sheets as the Bears swept 25-17, 25-20, 25-20. For the Warriors, Sydney Zerbe (13 kills, 1 ace, 8 digs), Meghan Hafti (25 assists, 5 digs) and Elly Brunt (22 digs, 2 aces) set the pace.
 
Pottsgrove 3, Owen J. Roberts 1 – The Falcons captured the PAC decision 15-25, 25-23, 27-25, 25-22 despite solid showings by Jordyn Chambers (26 assists, 4 digs, 2 kills), Bridget Kowalski (19 digs), Chloe Goals (4 aces, 17 kills, 8 digs), Ashley Beitel (3 kills, 1 block, 1 ace), Hannah Lewiski (6 kills, 2 digs) and Katie Arcara (3 aces, 3 digs) for the Wildcats.
 
West Chester East 3, Phoenixville 0 – Alexa Grammerstorf (5 kills, 5 digs, 1 ace), Avery Stackhouse (10 digs, 1 kill), LeiLu Campbell (9 digs) and Maria Coll (6 digs, 2 aces) led the way for the Phantoms in their nonleague loss in straight sets, 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.
