ROYERSFORD - Spring-Ford junior golfer Danielle Freed, has been chosen as pac-10sports.com’s golfer of the week for Aug. 29- Sept. 2.

Freed’s performances helped Spring-Ford to a 1-1 record for the week. She shot a match low 47 in a non-league victory over Great Valley at Spring Hollow Golf Club, then fired a 48 (second best team score) in a loss to non-league opponent Mount St. Joseph at Linfield National Golf Club.

Freed’s coach Patty Lebow is not surprised by her recent play.

“Danielle has been progressing appropriately for two years now and we anticipated that these types of performances would be coming out of her,” Lebow said.

Practice and coaching have benefited Freed.

“Danielle has a very bright future on and off the course. Golf has turned into an absolute passion for her and she constantly works on her game trying to improve. She can go as far she wants with the sport.”

So look out for more great scores coming from Freed this season.
