Huang, Skrocki lift Spring-Ford past Boyertown; Pottsgrove wins behind Delp, Stump, Heft (updated)

Spring-Ford 6, Boyertown 4, 8 innings – Brandon Huang led off the eighth inning with a solo home run and Coy Walters added an RBI-single later in the frame to power the Rams (14-2, 19-2) past the Bears in the PAC Liberty regular season finale for both teams Thursday night at Bear Stadium.

Also for the Rams, Chase Simmons was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI and Mark McNelly clubbed a home run in support of winning pitcher Jake Skrocki, who worked four innings, allowing three hits, one walk and one unearned run while striking out four.

Mike Martin was 3-for-3 with an RBI while Austyn Levengood and Mitch Peers also drove in runs for Boyertown (12-4).

Spring-Ford and Boyertown will both compete in the PAC Final Four beginning Tuesday night with the semifinal round at Bear Stadium.

Pottsgrove 7, Lansdale Catholic 6 – Bailey Delp (RBI, 2 runs) and Alex Stump (double, 2 runs) both went 3-for-4 and Garrett Heft drove in a pair of runs and scored another during a 2-for-3 outing to boost the Falcons (5-14) to the nonleague win over the Crusaders.
