The week that was: Ryan had three catches for 46 yards and a touchdown (7-yard TD pass from Jay Sisko in the first quarter) from the tight end slot in the Falcons’ season-ending 58-20 loss to Bethlehem Catholic in the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinals Friday.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound defensive end had seven tackles and one sack, bringing his season total to  19 sacks and 33 tackles-for-loss.

One week earlier, Bodolus keyed an outstanding defensive effort that led the three-time District 1-4A championships to the first state playoff win in program history – 14-10 over Jersey Shore. Ryan averaged 6 tackles per game this season and scored four touchdowns – three receiving (15 catches, 260 yards, 17.3 avg. in 2018) and one on a fumble recovery in the end zone.

The senior's real mark was on the defensive side of the ball, where he helped Pottsgrove post four shutouts and allow area-best defensive totals in yards per game allowed (196.9), rushing yards per game allowed (69.9) and average points per game allowed (13.2).
