Mat wrap: Perkiomen Valley, Spring-Ford notch nonleague wins; Phoenixville finds silver lining

Perkiomen Valley 48, Pottsgrove 27 – The Vikings (7-5 overall) got pins from Jakob Sterling, Brett Sacks and PJ Kakos during a five-match run at the top of the card to seize an insurmountable 27-0 lead in their PAC crossover triumph Saturday morning.
Austin Rowley, Eric Jefferies and Jacob Sturm keyed a four-match run later in the session with falls to help seal the deal for Perk Valley.
For the Falcons (9-6), Charles Sithens, Josh Cerrito, Stephen Hennelly and Avery Shivak notched pins.

Also contributing bonus points for Spring-Ford were Dirk Nugent with a major and Joey Millano with a tech fall.

Angelo Franzone (138), Owen Koch (145/152), Alex Washington (160/170), Dave Polanki (170,/182), JJ Allen (195) and Bobby Krause (132/138) all finished with perfect 5-0 records on the day for the host Phantoms, who earned a second-place team finish with a 4-1 mark that included wins over Belmont (48-23), South Philadelphia (66-16), Bensalem (57-17) and Frankford (60-12).
Phoenixville’s lone loss in the six-team tournament came in its opener by the narrowest of margins to La Salle College High –a 36-36 tie broken by Criterion E.
La Salle went on to take the team title.
 
Big Red Duals (Souderton)
Methacton went 3-1 at the 13-team meet, posting wins over Tunkhannock (52-24), Pen Argyl (38-37) and Unionville (44-36) with the lone setback coming at the hands of North Penn (53-18).
 
Church Farm Invitational
Norristown finished fifth in the 15-team field behind silver medal performances from Lakine Wallace (195) and Tjear Brittingham (285). Also for the Eagles, Nick Semon (152) and Marvins Ravis (220) earned bronze medals and Chris Carter (170) placed fourth.
