Phoenixville gets back on track; Methacton blanks Lansdale Catholic (updated)

Phoenixville 14, Norristown 3 – The PAC Frontier Division leading Phantoms rebounded from Monday’s loss to Boyertown with the impressive crossover win over the Eagles, who were coming off their first win of the season.
Kevin Cushing was 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead Phoenixville, which got two RBI apiece from Devon Goryl and Jon Miller and solid work on the mound from winning pitcher Quinn Danna and reliever Justin Blakey.
Methacton 9, Lansdale Catholic 0 – The Warriors set the tone with five runs in the top of the second inning and rolled to the nonleague win, triggered by the stick work of Mark Engelman (3 RBI) and Jordan Lukas (2-3, run, 2 RBI) out of the leadoff spot.
Colin Schrader notched the win, working the first four innings with seven strikeouts while allowing just three hits.
Berks Catholic 8, Upper Perkiomen 2 – The Indians (3-14) managed just two hits and became the 10th straight victim of the streaking Saints (14-2), who got strong outings at the plate from German Vasquez Marte (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI) and Tre Dabney (1-3, 3B, RBI, R).
