Pottsgrove shuts down Boyertown behind Mowery, Ludwig; Owen J. Roberts, Methacton roll

Pottsgrove 40, Boyertown 22 – The Falcons rode a suffocating defensive performance and the double figures scoring of Sydney Mowery (12 points) and Rachel Ludwig (10) to the PAC crossover victory Tuesday night.
Following a 10-10 standoff in the first quarter, the Grove tightened up the pressure and held the visiting Bears to 12 points the rest of the way, going up 17-14 at the break and 29-20 heading into the final frame.
Avery Sweisfort paced Boyertown’s meager offense with 6 points.

Owen J. Roberts 53, Pope John Paul II 26 – The Wildcats used dominating work in the middle periods to post their fourth straight win in the PAC crossover clash.
Leading by just 15-12 after one quarter, OJR ramped up the heat and gradually built commanding leads of 30-16 at the break and 43-22 heading into the fourth quarter.
Hannah Clay had four triples to score a game-high 12 points for the Cats, who also got 11 points from Olivia LeClaire and 8 apiece from Brooke Greenawald and Maddi Koury.
For the Golden Panthers, Mary Kate Shannon hit three treys for 9 points and Tess Crossan finished with  12 rebounds and 2 points.

Methacton 65, Phoenixville 26 – Sydney Tornetta stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists – moving within 83 points of the 1,000-point career plateau in the process  – to lead the Warriors to the PAC interdivisional romp.
Nicole Timko cashed a game-high 22 points with four three-balls and Cassidy Kropp added 10 to pace Methacton, which outscored the Phantoms 40-11 in the second and third quarters to build leads of 38-15 at halftime and 58-22 heading into the fourth quarter.
Angelina Williams dropped 11 points to pace Phoenixville.

Spring-Ford 87, Pottstown 15 – The Rams bolted out to a 42-4 lead after one quarter and never looked back in recording the PAC crossover win.
All 12 Spring-Ford players that participated scored, with Lucy Olsen (21 points), Mac Maloney (14) and Abbey Boyer (11) hitting double figures in a lethal attack that knocked down nine three-balls.
For the Trojans, Tamryn Jarrett led the way with 7 points. Olsen, a junior guard, eclipsed the 1,000-point career plateau during the blowout.
