Roop, Steele lift Perkiomen Valley; Owen J. Roberts, Spring-Ford suffer narrow defeats

Perkiomen Valley 13, Crestwood 6 – Connor Roop and Nick Steele posted hat tricks and combined for four assists as the Vikings rode a 5-1 edge in the second quarter to the nonleague win over the defending District 2 champion Comets Saturday.
Perk Valley (4-6) also got strong showings from Matt Brock (3 points, 19 for 21 on faceoffs) and goalie Rob Farrington (14 saves, 7 in third quarter) in the impressive victory.

WC Henderson 10, Owen J Roberts 9, OT – Jack Micco found the back of the net just 11 seconds into overtime after Luke Wierman’s faceoff win to carry the Warriors (6-3) to the comeback nonleague decision, halting the host Wildcats’ five-game winning streak.
OJR (5-3), which led 8-4 before Henderson came back to force the extra session with a 5-1 run in the fourth quarter, got five goals from Michael Kilgallon, 18 saves from goalie Ben Hornak and two goals and one assist from Logan Clefisch in the setback.
