Simon, Mowery key Pottsgrove; Owen J. Roberts storms past Boyertown

Pottsgrove 35, Pope John Paul II 22 – Riley Simon stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals to power the Falcons to the PAC Frontier win Thursday night.
Also for the Grove, which limited the Golden Panthers to 11 points through the first three quarters, Sydney Mowery led all scorers with 16 points and Summer Walker was a big contributor at the defensive end with five steals.

Owen J. Roberts 43, Boyertown 31 – Avery White cashed in 9 of her game-high 13 points during an opening 19-0 run for the streaking Wildcats in their Liberty victory.
Maddie Koury and Olivia LeClaire added 8 points each for OJR, which extended its winning streak to five. For the Bears, Ashley Kapp (12 points) and Julia Smith (10) hit double figures.

Methacton 42, Spring-Ford 39, OT – Nicole Timko finished with 13  points, including a clutch three-pointer with 2:40 left in overtime to give the Warriors a 40-38 lead they’d never relinquish in their Liberty win over the two-time defending PAC champion Rams.
Cassidy Kropp added 10 points, Sydney Tornetta chipped in with 8 and Caroline Pellicano hauled in 11 rebounds and made the defensive play of the game – blocking Lucy Olsen’s attempt from beyond the arc with 20 seconds left and Spring-Ford trailing 40-38.
The victory was the first since the 2016-17 season for Methacton, ending a seven-game losing streak against their archrivals, who got a game-high 19 points from Olsen, 7 from Alyssa Yuan and 6 from Abbey Boyer.

Phoenixville 68, Pottstown 40 – Aubrie Breisblatt hit for 14 points and Nailah Green chipped in with 13 as the Phantoms set the tone with a 20-7 run in the first quarter and were never seriously challenged in the PAC Frontier encounter.
For the Trojans, freshman Tamiya Jarrett posted 14 points and 4 rebounds, Trinell Watson added 10 points, 6 boards and 2 steals, Calista Daye chipped in with 10 points and 5 steals and Kailyn Jarrett delivered 6 rebounds and 6 steals.
