Soccer: Boyertown boys, girls stay perfect in PAC-10 with wins over Methacton


BOYERTOWN – Balanced scoring carried Boyertown to a 3-0 Pioneer Athletic Conference boys soccer triumph over Methacton Wednesday.

T.C. Collins and Aaron Kulig had a goal and assist apiece for the Bears, delivering helpers on each other’s goals. Also scoring for Boyertown (2-0 Liberty, 2-1 overall) was Kyle Miller on an assist by Coby Bartolucci.

Methacton, which was outshot by a staggering 22-2 count, falls to 0-2-1 in the league, 0-3-2 overall.

– The Bears set the stage for Thursday night’s PAC-10 showdown with Owen J. Roberts by taking care of the Warriors.

Boyertown, which improved to 2-0 in the Liberty and 3-0 overall, broke a scoreless tie on a corner kick by Jenna Dubs in the second half before Devyn Heidelbaugh, assisted by Hollie Garber, added an insurance goal.

Meghan Janderchick recorded her second consecutive shutout with a five-save outing for the Bears, who host the defending champion Wildcats tonight at 7 in a rematch of last year's PAC-10 title game.

The Warriors (2-2-1 overall) were outshot 21-4 in dropping their first PAC-10 outing after two straight league wins.
