Soccer wrap: Riggins leads Phantoms over Trojans

POTTSTOWN – James Riggins delivered a pair of goals while Jeff Potts and Matt Hackman also found the range to carry Phoenixville to a 5-2 boys soccer victory over Pottstown Monday in the Trojans’ Pioneer Athletic Conference Freedom Division opener.

The Phantoms climbed above .500 at 2-1 with the win.

Downingtown East 4, Pottsgrove 0 – The Falcons allowed two goals in each half of the nonleague contest to fall to 0-4 (0-1 league) overall.

Boyertown 2, Spring-Ford 0 – The Bears (2-0 overall), who fell in overtime in the PAC-10 title clash to Owen J.
