Spring-Ford, Methacton girls clinch PAC playoff bids with crossover romps

Spring-Ford 68, Boyertown 34 – The Rams locked up the PAC Liberty championship and the No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming PAC Final 6 playoffs (slated to begin Thursday, Feb. 7) with the wire-to-wire romp Friday.
Lucy Olsen and Cassie Marte combined for 29 points to pace Spring-Ford, which hit 10 three-balls and was never seriously challenged after bolting out to leads of 22-10, 35-16 and 55-25 through the first three quarters.
For the Bears, Julia Smith collected 11 points and Ashley Kapp hit for 10.

Methacton 73, Pottstown 26 – The Warriors clinched a berth in the PAC Final 6 playoffs with the wire-to-wire interdivisional win.
Leading the way for Warriors were Nicole Timko with 24 points and five steals and Sydney Tornetta, who stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Other key performers for Methacton were Abby Penjuke (4 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals) and Tori Bockrath (9 points, 6 rebounds).
For the Trojans, Emme Wolfel topped the scoring charts with 10.

Phoenixville 63, Antietam 55 – Ameerah Green shot 11-12 from the free throw line en route to her game-high 27 points and Aubrie Breisblatt added 17 points with three triples in the nonleague win for the Phantoms, who closed things out with a 28-18 run in the fourth quarter to overcome a two-point deficit.
