Spring-Ford's Chapman, McKenna earn gold medals at Ursinus

COLLEGEVILLE – Stephen Chapman placed first in the 55 hurdles and second in the 400 while Jacob McKenna captured the gold in the mile to lead a strong performance by the Spring-Ford boys in the Chester County Indoor Track and Field Invitational Tuesday night at Ursinus College.

 

Also for the Rams, Chad Smiley took second in the pole vault, Patrick Power and Shane Ainscoe were fourth in the mile and 3K, respectively; and the distance medley (Joey Power, Austin Byers, Trevor Detweiler, Matt Schweitzer) and 4x400 (Patrick Power, Max Simpson, Detweiler, Evan Horrocks) relay teams had fifth-place finishes at the 17-school meet.
