Tornetta, Timko help Methacton overtake Pottsgrove: Pope John Paul II routs Pottstown

Methacton 51, Pottsgrove 45 –Sydney Tornetta posted a double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds and Nicole Timko delivered 21 points and 8 rebounds as the Warriors used a late surge to record the PAC crossover win Saturday.
Trailing 39-32 entering the fourth quarter, Methacton took charge behind a 19-6 closing run to send the Falcons to just their third loss of the season
Sydney Hargrove added 8 rebounds and 3 points for the Warriors, offsetting the scoring of Sierra Potts (13 points, 3 treys), Jaimi Makins (12, 3 treys) and Summer Walker (9 points) for the Grove.

Pope John Paul II 74, Pottstown 34 – The Golden Panthers breezed to the PAC Frontier win behind a balanced effort paced by Mary Kate Shannon’s game-high 20 points and Tess Crossan’ s double-double featuring 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Also delivering strong outings for PJP were Amelia Kennedy (15 points, 7 steals), Kayla Viney (10 rebounds, 8 points) and Kayla Ciuba (11 points).
For the Trojans, sophomore Trinell Watson registered 13 points, 6 rebounds and three steals while freshman Tamaya Jarrett and sophomore Calista Daye scored 8 points each.
