Upper Perkiomen's Noel Fresa places second in 100 free for 2nd state medal

LEWISBURG – One day after placing third in the 200 freestyle at the PIAA Class 2A Swimming Championships, Upper Perkiomen junior Noel Fresa added to her medal haul with a second-place finish in the 100 free.

Fresa clocked in at 51.89 for the sliver, 0.47 seconds behind the winning time of 51.41 posted by Northgate senior Karen Siddoway.

Fresa later swam the anchor leg behind UP teammates Devin Romanowski (sophomore), Bailey McCausland (senior) and Madison Modugno (senior) to help the Indians finish ninth (3:39.08) overall and first in the ‘B’ final in the 4x100 free relay.

The Upper Perk girls finished in 15th place with 51 points as Villa Maria Academy (178), Schuylkill Valley (141) and Gwynedd Mercy (129.5) claimed the top three spots in the Class 2A girls field.
