Reflections on high school career:  "I have found running Track and Cross Country in high school to be extremely fun, rewarding and a great way to meet others. Methacton has a different type of cross country and distance track programs. Both programs are led by very positive and encouraging coaches. Coach Steve Savitz coached me in Cross Country all 4 years and Coach Chris Torpey for Winter and  Spring Track for the last 2 years. I thank them for coaching! Athletes who run cross country or distance track at Methacton become great friends. I truly believe we have the most fun out of any team in the state or even the nation. I will never forget my Methacton High School athletics!"
Coach Christopher Torpey: "Chris has been a gem to coach over the past few seasons. He has the rare combination of talent, discipline, and willingness to learn that has allowed him to progress by leaps and bounds. While he has excelled at the high school level, I believe he will thrive at the longer collegiate races. Above all, I hope he remains an inspired fan of distance running throughout his future. The team and I will certainly be rooting for Chris from Methacton wherever he goes."
Coach Steve Savitz: "It is rare for a coach to come across an athlete whose dedication to the sport mirrors their natural talent. Chris is that athlete. There is no coincidence that Chris broke the 16-minute barrier for a 5K race along with setting the school record. These achievements come with motivation, discipline, and hard work. Chris also makes every runner on the team feel important, from the runners on varsity to the freshmen just starting out on their journey. It is these qualities that made him a team captain. He is the type of runner that every coach hopes to have on their team, and I look forward to watching his next achievements, as he runs at Robert Morris University."
