Owen J. Roberts senior student/athletes Adam Brown, Michelle Frank, Scott Honicker, Simone Karustis, Elaina Lee, Marcus Martin and Cassidy Skilton recently announced their college destinations during signing/commitment events at the high school.

Adam Brown – Crew/Rowing – Washington College

Why did you choose this school? “I felt at home when visiting and they have a varsity men’s crew team.”
Reflections on high school career: “Rowing all four years of high school was a great experience. With as much time as the team spends together, it felt like a second family.”
Goals/expectations for college career: “To get further invested in computer science and/or computer engineering.”
 
Michelle Frank – Volleyball - Arcadia

Why did you choose this school? “A superb academic program, a good internship program, wonderful coaching staff and players that treat each other as family.”
Reflections on high school career: “I was part of the OJR volleyball program since its first season in 2015. As the varsity captain for all four years, I have had the privilege of watching the team grow and develop exponentially. We have made great strides, and I look forward to seeing the team become even more competitive in the future.”
Goals/expectations for college career: “I look forward to refining my skills as I continue playing volleyball in college.”

Reflections on high school career: “Overall, it exceeded my expectations. While the transition between coaches made it difficult at times, I am happy with my achievements and appreciated being part of a great team.”
Goals/expectations for college career: “Improve performance, gain a better understanding and experience of the sport, be the best I can be.”
